Perfect place to relax
In general: We camped in our own tent at this lovely site. The pitches are large with good access to electricity and water. There is what looks like a newly refurbished shower/toilet block which is kept very clean along with laundry facilities. There are various glamming options if required. Location and surroundings: Set in beautiful countryside with access to the river. The site is on a narrow, quiet road used mainly for access to the river so there is little road noise. There is a historic village nearby, Boucieu-le-Roi 1.5 km, with a few restaurants and you can take a circular walk to it and cool off in the river on the way home. Service: The family that own the site are lovely people who will go out of their way to help you. Dining: The family run the on site bar/restaurant. We didn’t eat there apart from pizza which was good but having looked at the food others were eating during our stay, it looked to be excellent. Sports and leisure: There is a pool and a lot of boules are played...a great way to meet other people, even if, like us, you only play once a year on holiday! They have live music some evenings. The one we went to was great fun. Useful tips: From Boucieu-le-Roi we took the Velorail trip and also the train to the market which were really good.
